The adjacent photo is a thermal image which shows graphically the areas of a typical property where the valuable heat intended to keep the inside warm is being lost through the structure to the outside.
As you can see the windows are warm on the outside, demonstrating that you are wasting money keeping the outside of the home nearly as warm as the inside!
Our products are designed to prevent this in three ways
1. By incorporating harmless argon gas to the cavity between the inside and outside pane of glass, which is a much more effective insulator than air
2. By capturing as much free energy via solar gain through the clear glass.
3. By trapping the solar gain, and the heat produced by your household heating system, inside your home via a virtually invisible low emissivity reflective coating.
And if that's not enough, we have reduced our impact on landfill and raw materials consumption by using recycled PVCu within the core of some of our profiles, making a further significant contribution to reducing our CO2 and carbon footprint.
